STAR STITCH CROCHET TUTORIAL VIDEO
Tuesday, January 24, 2017
I discovered the crochet star stitch recently and fell in love! It is such a fun stitch and really adds some character to your crochet projects.
I utilized the crochet star stitch in my recent Stargazer cardigan crochet pattern. Rows of the star stitch are used in the cardigan’s yoke and at the bottom of the cardigan.
I wanted a solid color cardigan, but the star stitches would really pop out if you used a different yarn color for the rows of star stitches.
I also included a few rows of star stitches at the end of the sleeves.
Star stitches can be worked flat or in the round, but they aren’t a reversible stitch. Always make sure you’re working on the right side of your project when creating star stitches.
It took me a little while to figure the star stitch out, and it’s even more difficult to try to write the directions out so that you can create some crochet star stitches yourself.
Therefore, I created a crochet stitch tutorial video for you.
I hope you find this crochet tutorial video helpful.
The cardigan crochet pattern can be found on Little Monkeys Design.
The alpace/merino blend dk yarn for the cardigan project was from Echoview Fiber Mill.
The yarn for the crochet tutorial video was Balance from O-wool.
