Simple Summer Clutch Crochet Pattern
Materials
55 yards of chunky weight yarn. I used Chunky Merino by O-wool.com
Hook: L
7″ Zipper
Crochet thread and needle
Size: 7.5″ x 5″
Directions
Row 1: Chain 20, starting in the 2nd chain from the hook – sc in each st across, work 2 sc in last st.
Row 2: Rotate to work along the back loops of beginning chain. Sc in each st across, work 2 sc in last st.
Row 3-17: Continue working in the round – sc in each sc. Continue until the clutch is the height you desire. 17 rows = 5″
Zipper
Open up zipper and place it on top inside edge of clutch. Use crochet thread and needle to whip stitch zipper to clutch. If you will make your whip stitches between the sc stitches, they won’t show on the outside of the clutch. Knot and cut thread.
Repeat on the opposite side of zipper and clutch. Knot and finish off.
Tassel
Cut 3 5″ pieces of yarn and together pull them through the hole at the end of the zipper tab. Cut another 5″ piece and knot if around the yarn pieces below the zipper tab. Cut the ends of the same length if necessary.
Zip zipper and you are finished! Enjoy!
