Try something outside the box – a square baby blanket crochet pattern featuring squares inside squares.
**Part of the Spring 2016 All About Baby Collection by Angela Plunkett of Little Monkeys Design. **
Crochet this square baby blanket for a unique baby shower gift! Guaranteed to be the highlight of the party (outside of the new mother-to-be!) The simple, modern look works well for baby boys or baby girls. Change out the colors to match the nursery.
Decrease the baby blanket crochet pattern according to included instructions to create the perfect size lovey for your little one to carry around without tripping over.
A coordinating pillow cover crochet pattern is available as well.
About the crochet pattern:
28″ X 28″ – instructions given in pattern on how to adjust the blanket size.
Beginner to intermediate – you will need some crochet and experience with changing out yarn colors.
This pattern is written in American Crochet terms.
You’ll need a J crochet hook and 7 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Worsted Cotton Yarn.
2 Bone, 2 Sky, 2 Mediterranean, 1 Indigo
(You can use just 1 of Sky, Med., and Indigo, but you’ll be changing out colors a lot. It is a lot easier to have 2 of each)
~ 570 yards total in blanket. Yarn will be left over – enough to crochet the coordinating Squares Pillow Cover.
