The Sweet Stripes Baby Hat crochet pattern was created for a friend’s baby who was born in the springtime. He needed a cute hat to keep his head warm when they took big brother to the park!

This sweet baby hat is perfect to keep the breeze off your new little one’s head. It also makes a great photo prop for baby’s first photographs. This baby hat crochet pattern is sized for little ones up to child (4-8 yrs).

About the crochet pattern:

SIZES:
Newborn, 3-6m, 6-12m, 1-3 yrs, Child

SKILL LEVEL:
Beginner/Intermediate- you will be crocheting in the round.

TERMINOLOGY:
This pattern is written in American Crochet terms.

MATERIALS NEEDED:
You’ll need an F crochet hook and your favorite sport weight yarn. I used Appalachian Baby design yarn in 100% Organic cotton when creating this pattern. It is very soft and light! The amount of yarn you need depends on the hat size – 50 yards to 200 yards total. You will need 2 colors of yarn.
